If you don’t have much time to spend redecorating, you don’t want the upheaval or you can’t afford the expense of a whole new bathroom, here are some quick and easy ideas you can implement to give your bathroom a bit of a lift in a jiffy!

You can buy some fabulous cheap bathroom tiles. It can be a big job re-tiling the whole bathroom but how about just replacing a few tiles with some really special ones? This works really well if your bathroom is currently tiled plain white. Removing tiles isn’t too tricky, it just takes a bit of patience as you have to be very careful not to damage the surrounding tiles. You could replace them with contrasting plain coloured tiles and you could then continue that colour theme with some new towels and a matching shower curtain. Or you could go for a pattern, blue and white Victorian designs, or something ultra modern, there are loads of choices available and as you’ll only be wanting a few you should be able to afford to buy any you like best.

Change your lighting. Some up-lighters can look good in the bathroom or how about a totally over the top chandelier? This can look amazing in a white bathroom and will definitely be a talking point with your visitors!

Simply changing the shower curtain can make a big difference to the look of a bathroom, but don’t feel you are restricted to picking from a range of shower curtains. You can easily make your own out of any fabric you like by adding a plastic liner layer to it. This can give you a lot more scope for having something truly unique.

An amazing mirror can really bring a lot to a bathroom. If it’s big it will make the room feel bigger and lighter. You can get mirrors in all shapes and sizes so pick something that really stands out to you. Or buy some mirrored bathroom wall tiles and create your own pattern with those. If you can’t decide which mirror to choose, why not pick a few and have them all on the wall to be a bit different!

If you don’t want to redecorate the whole room, painting one wall will give the room a whole new look, pastel colours always work well in a bathroom, but for a real impact pick a bright primary colour, red, green or blue will all be stunning if used sparingly on the walls.

Another really easy thing to do is to change the toilet seat. You can get some really funky seats these days so shop around and get one that’s fun and works well with the room. You can also change the light pull for something more interesting too.

It’s not too hard to make some small changes to give your bathroom a bit of a facelift. Use some of these ideas and your bathroom will soon put a smile on your face and on that of your visitors too.
